특히 이번년도 상반기는 지난해에 비해 ‘20대 이상의 아르바이트 구직자가 낮은 폭으로 많아진 것으로 조사됐다. 지난 2016년과 2015년 연간 아르바이트 구직자 중 70대 이상 알바 구직자가 각 7.9%, 7.2 %에 그친 반면 이번년도는 이들보다 약 2.3%P 늘어난 9.4%를 기록했다.

최근 평일 저녁에 일할 현대인을 뽑으려고 구인 사이트에 올렸는데 불과 한 시간 만에 대학 재학생과 휴학생 등 16명이 지원했다. 예전에는 상대적으로 노동 정도가 센 심야 근무자를 구하기가 어려웠지만 대사람들 사이에서 일자리가 없긴 없는 모양이다.
같은 학교 문화콘텐츠문화경영학과 3학년 학생은 “용비용을 벌고 싶어 시간제 알바를 구하려고 해도 관리하기 힘든 상태”이라며 “며칠전에는 편의점과 식당에 장기간 근무하다가 매장 사정으로 말미암아 어쩔 수 없이 일을 그만두게 된 친구들도 늘어났다”고 이야기 했다.
조사 결과 아르바이트생 중 28.6%가 비교적 짧은 시간 근무하는 장기 알바를 선호한다고 답했다. 세부적으로 살펴보면 1주일 미만 근무를 선호한다는 답변은 17.6%였고, 바라는 시간 하루만 일하는 △하루 아르바이트를 선호한다는 답변은 11.3%였다.
