We caught the tail end of daylight at Niagara Falls, just as the crowds thinned and the mist turned a soft pink from the sunset. Our guide pointed out where the light hit the American Falls, and we watched the Horseshoe Falls glow gold for a few minutes before the sky darkened. The rainbows flickered in the spray. It felt like having the place to ourselves.
